A Simply
Five Step Process:

Beef
producer applies to the Co-op's Board of Directors
for membership.

After
becoming a member, applies for a purchase order of
the amount of anticipated feeder cattle purchase,
maximum loan of $500,000. You will deposit 5% of purchae order requesed as an Assurance Account.

Once
member receives purchase order, feeder cattle may be
purchased.

The
Co-op facilitates the payment for cattle.
-
Loan may
be used to feed up to four groups of cattle.
What The
Co-operative Does For You:

Attractive interest rate.
-
NO
PAYMENTS until cattle are sold (maximum 1 year).

FINANCING up to 100%.
-
Loans
may be obtained for home-produced calves, or for
purchased cattle.

Limited
financial information required for application.
-
Lending
is based on producer's integrity and ability to feed
cattle.
-
Co-op
supplies ID ear tags (not CCIA), handles all
paperwork for loan, administers all correspondence
with the lender, and insure the cattle.

Cow - 5 Year Loan

Ownership
of Cattle:
-
The
cattle purchases will remain the property of the
Rainy River Beef Breeder Finance Co-operative
Corporation. The Rainy River Beef Breeder
Finance Co-Op has the right to reclaim any cattle
which, in the opinion of the Supervisor and/or the
Directors, are not being properly care for or
present a financial risk to the co-op.
Member
Eligibility
Security
Account
-
You will
deposit a percentage as indicated below of the credit requested into a security
account held by the co-op. If any producer has
a deficit in his account after the cattle are sold,
the security account is used to cover the deficit.
The producer can request to have the funds applied
to the final payment.
Cow Loan - 5 year loan with 15% security deposit
- Cows can be bred or open but must be under 48 months
Heifer Loan
- 1 year loan with 10% security deposit
- Heifers must be open but may be exposted to bull at any time after financing
- Will be rolled over to a Cow Loan after 1 year
Bull Loan
- 3 year loan with 15% security deposit

Limits

Experienced livestock producers can be financed up
to $100,000.00

Inexperienced producers will be limited to
$50,000.00

Higher
limits require prior written consent from Farm
Credit Corporation, our lender.
How to apply

Apply
for membership. Annual
membership fee of $25.00 plus HST

Complete
and submit the application form stating:

Feeding proposal
-
Business references
-
Application for what you are purchasing.

Submit a
cheque for the security deposit
The goal of
the Co-op is to provide financing for farmers at an
affordable rate to assist in the expansion of their
herds.
